History didn’t just happen in the Roman Forum or on the Athenian Acropolis; it breathed in the vibrant streets of Byzantium, within the legendary walls of Ancient Troy, in the philosophical schools of Ionia, and across the sun-drenched landscapes of Magna Graecia (Sicily).
The cultural fabric of Ancient Rome and Greece stretched far across the Mediterranean and beyond. This expansive world was bound together by shared myths and melodies that echo through the salt-sprayed, epic wanderings of Homer’s Odysseus and are woven through the intimate yearning of Sappho’s lyric poetry on the isle of Lesbos.
