Latin Teacher, Translator, and Conference Interpreter
PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Laurent d'Aumale is a French teacher of Latin, translator, and conference interpreter. He holds the Agrégation de Lettres Classiques and has taught Latin in France. He is the translator of Fabulae Gallicae, a Latin translation of Charles Perrault's fairy tales, and the translator and stage director of Medicus Invitus, a Latin adaptation of Molière's Le Médecin malgré lui. His interests include classical Latin poetry, medieval and Renaissance Latin literature, ancient religion, classical mythology, and Latin pedagogy.

SELECTED CLASSICAL PROJECTS
2026 – Translator and director of Medicus Invitus, a classical Latin adaptation of Molière’s Le Médecin malgré lui. Rehearsals conducted entirely in Latin.
2023–present – Reader for the Legentibus app.
2022 – Fabulae Gallicae, Latin translation of Charles Perrault’s fairy tales (Latinitium, Stockholm).
Creator of the YouTube channel Institutum Parisinum, featuring short educational videos in simple, idiomatic Classical Latin on figures from ancient mythology.
